A Letter on the Return
Dear one returning,
Welcome back. Something brought you here. Something brought me here, too.
At first it just felt like something in me was trying to come back. A feeling in my gut that something was coming around again. Maybe I needed to get quiet, pull off the mask, or put down the things I was carrying long enough to listen and allow myself to return to my body.
Even as someone who is self-aware, I knew that returning to my body was going to take time. Hell, I've been outside of my body for decades at this point, trying to navigate a world that was built for survivors, not for people who are just ready to be.
I'm witnessing it in others, too. It's a return to self, but it's something more — something that's hard to name. It happens when we pay attention to where we came from, to our lineage, to our bodies. There is something in that.
This letter is just to acknowledge that. As we all try to return to our bodies, and to whatever has been calling.
Arriving, Terra
